Intro to Film Introductions
Let's start with some cinematic introductions. Which films are the ones you immediately think of when someone asks you what sort of films you like? Which ones do you find yourself returning to to watch again--and why?
Personally, I find it hard to not stop and watch a few minutes of Coppola's The Godfather if it happens to be on (which it often seems to be), or Spielberg's Jaws (which I caught the end of the other day).
But I'd feel the same if I happened by film noir classics such as Tourneur's Out of the Past or Wilder's Double Indemnity.
